FAQs

How is the access road to this site?

Brookshire Road comes off a main highway and it is a paved and curvy road. It does have a warning sign for vehicles over 35’ in length but on the very curvy sections there is good forward line-of-sight and it can be navigated.

How easy is it to get in and out of the spot?

The entire high country area is a mountainous region. This site is located on the middle of a steep hill. Getting in and out of this pad spot takes some careful driving. In order to back into this pad site you should drive past the location, continue uphill to Jones Moretz Road, turn around at that crossroad location, drive back down the hill, stop on the road, and then back into that pad driveway. Detailed instructions are included in your information document. Pulling out of the pad location is as easy as moving forward and driving down Brookshire Road. When pulling out four-wheel drive or all-wheel drive is recommended if available but not required.

What is the pad surface type?

The pad surface type is gravel on a base that has been made as level as possible.

Is the pad private or close to other campers?

There will only be one RV or group at this site at a time. There is one occupied house at the next door property that is in view of this site but we have constructed a privacy fence. The entire 3/4 acre property is reserved by only one visitor. The site has the capability to host two camper vans or small teardrop style campers from the same group at a time. Note: There is only (1) water hookup, (1) septic connection, (4) 20A, (1) 30A, and (1) 50A electrical hookup.

Is there a deck, fire pit, picnic table, or seating area?

Is there Wi-Fi service?

Wi-Fi internet service is currently available at this time. The cell service at this spot is adequate but variable as it is in most of our mountainous area.

Are trash bins or recycling available on site?

Trash bins are not available on site because of their attraction of wildlife. We ask that you keep all trash indoors.

Who maintains the lawn?

A lawn service maintains the lawn and will arrive on-site to briefly mow and trim the lawn. At this time it is not scheduled on a particular day because of weather. We appreciate your patience and understanding if the lawn care service arrives during your stay and quickly mows the grass.

Quiet hours are from 10:00PM until 8:00AM. We appreciate your respect of the neighbors, many of whom are working professionals.
